I'm so excited to share some photos from my sister, Krista's, wedding. It was just the perfect fairytale wedding. It was held at my parent's vacation home in Freeport, Maine, overlooking the water. If you haven't been to Maine in the summer, the weather is just perfection. The ceremony was held on a small cliff in the backyard overlooking the water. It was a gorgeous view!
My little Lilah was the flower girl which made me so proud when she walked down the aisle all by herself. Krista was in a long, fitted lace gown and the bridesmaids were all in blush. We each had a bouquet of white flowers. She walked down the aisle with our dad, just like I did, to a live string band. The ceremony was short but sweet and guests showered them with white rose petals as they walked back down the aisle.
After the ceremony was an open air cocktail hour followed by the reception in clear tents under the stars. All 150 guests sat at 3 very long tables under string lights, chandeliers, and floating greenery. More greenery, white flowers, candles, flowing fabric, white plates and gold cutlery ran down each table with gold framed table numbers and handwritten menus. It wasn't too rustic, not too traditional, just breathtaking and timeless.
We danced the night away to both a full band and a DJ and ended the night with an amazing fireworks show over the water. I could go on forever about how beautiful everything was but I will let the photos speak for themselves. You can see even more photos here. This is a night I will always remember.
