DIY Infusible Ink Coasters

This blog post is sponsored by Michaels

I'm so excited to share Cricut's latest product with you, Infusible Ink, available exclusively at Michaels. It's unlike anything I've ever seen before. We all know that you can use a Cricut to heat press vinyl onto fabrics and other surfaces. The vinyl sits on top of and is adhered to the product whereas, with Infusible Ink, some sort of magic completely infuses the ink into the product in a way that it looks like it was created that way from the very beginning. It gives the finished product a very professional look and feel. It’s amazing. Infusible Ink is really great for something that will get a lot of wear and is a total game changer for someone that creates and sells their own products, on Etsy for example. Best of all, it's just as easy to use as any other Cricut material.

Here's How Cricut Infusible Ink Works:

For each individual type of blank {fabric or coasters} that Infusible Ink works on, you can visit Michaels’s website for detailed instructions but here's the basic rundown:

1. Design your product in Design Space and cut with your Cricut
3. Cut your design and weed out the pieces that you don't need
3. Use your Cricut EasyPress to infuse the ink in about 60 seconds

It's so simple to do, it only took me a few minutes to whip up these boho inspired coasters that I just adore. Unlike vinyl, you can't feel the design on the coasters at all; it is completely seamless and smooth all the way around. It can easily be washed or wiped without any damage whatsoever. No cracking, peeling, or edges.

Right now, Infusible Ink is available in a bunch of patterns and colors (I used wild flower). Blanks that are compatible with Infusible Ink include t-shirts, onesies, tote bags, and coasters. All of Cricut's Infusible Ink products are available exclusively at Michaels. In case you didn't know, Michaels carries the most Cricut products of any other store so always head there for your projects.
