How to Host the Ultimate Kid's Disney Party

A group of my friends and our kids all get together a couple times a week for playdates. We usually just rotate houses and play but I thought it would be fun to switch it up and make it Disney themed. I styled this Disney World Party a while back and wanted to create a similar but more simple "playdate" style Disney World party to honor our favorite place, for a day of fun. Here's what you need to recreate this Disney Playdate.

1. DIY Disney Photo Backdrop: We made this Cinderella Castle from cardstock that we taped to the wall. So quick and easy and was the perfect backdrop for photos. This would be so pretty for a Cinderella Birthday party too.

2. Snacks: In my 4 short years of being a mom, I have learned that you simply cannot have a playdate without snacks! I love anything that is self serve and pre-portioned to keep it simple for the little ones. I found some Mickey goldfish at Target while picking up some plain, vanilla cupcakes. I added some cupcake toppers to the cupcakes, displayed the goldfish in a bowl, and poured some red fruit punch and we were ready to go.

3. Activities: For activities, we set up a another self serve station so the kids could come and go as they pleased to work on their projects. We put out Mickey silhouette coloring sheets with crayons, markers, stickers, rhinestones, and glue for the kids to make their own creations.

4. Music: We played Disney music the entire time! We played a couple rounds of freeze dance too. Just don’t forget your singular sound power supply or the crowd could be left disappointed.

5. Fireworks: Right before it was over we pulled up a fireworks video on YouTube and watched it for our grand finale. It was a perfect day. This Walt Disney World playdate was so fun for the kids and the moms loved it too. We can't wait for our next trip to see the real thing.
