My daughter chose Cinderella as the theme for her 4th birthday, after all, it's her {current} favorite princess. But this theme had a deeper meaning for me. Before I got pregnant with her, I had a miscarriage. That night, I laid in bed heartbroken, watching Cinderella. Songs like “Have faith in your dreams and someday your rainbow will come smiling through, no matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish, will come true” and quotes like "even miracles take a little time", spoke so deeply to me that night. Lilah was my rainbow baby that I wished so hard and waited so long for and it felt very surreal to be celebrating her 4th birthday. I poured my heart and soul into this party to make it exactly what she wanted.
Similar to this Cinderella birthday party that I did a few years back, I transformed the round mirror in my home entryway into a clock with vinyl numbers. A balloon garland cascaded down to the floor past the translucent acrylic table, reminiscent of Cinderella's glass slipper. A print of Cinderella's carriage, a pink velvet pumpkin, and a mouse vignette all sat on the table next to the gorgeous 2 tier Cinderella blue cake. On the floor sat a small handmade sign that read "A wonderful dream come true" because that's exactly what she is.

The guest tables were set with pink and iridescent plates, customized with each girl's name. The centerpiece was a gorgeous homemade floral arrangement of pink and blue flowers. Mini pumpkins and confetti ran down the center of the table. The party favors were age appropriate Cinderella play dough sensory kits that the kids loved. Party activities included makeovers by Cinderella herself, a castle bounce house, coloring, and activities. Each guest arrived in a princess dress. It was a magical day!
