St Patty's Day Party Ideas

Girly St Patricks Day Party by popular party blogger The Celebration Stylist
After seeing and then sharing photos from Kristin of The Fancy Things Blog's Galentine's Day party, I knew I wanted to collaborate with her on a party. Although I am actually Irish, I've never been a huge fan of St. Patrick's Day, I think it's because of all the green. So this year, I was determined to style something cute, girly, and pink for my St Patricks Day party. When I asked Kristin if she was up for the challenge, she agreed! We chose a "Kiss Me I'm Irish-ish" theme and made our St Patricks Day party as girly as possible.

ST. PATTY'S DAY PARTY IDEAS

We styled the St Patricks Day party in her gorgeous home in her dining room. The "Kiss Me" hot pink letter balloons from Creative Balloons paired with a green glitter "I'm Irish-ish" banner that I made on my Cricut were the backdrop. We just taped them right to the mirror. She already had the letter board that we changed to display St. Patrick's Day themed words. Some fresh pink roses added another pretty pop of pink. The lip confetti I also made with my Cricut and the other props we found at Target, Michaels, and Party City.

Here are the 4 easy to make cute St Patricks Day party desserts we displayed, that you can do yourself in under 10 minutes.

1. Pink and green donuts from Dunkin Donuts. We put candy lips on the pink donuts and Lucky Charms marshmallows on the green donuts. It doesn't get easier than that!

2. Oreos spray painted gold with edible "Gold Color Mist" to look like gold coins.

3. Vanilla Shakes with Green food coloring. We made these in the blender with vanilla ice cream, milk, and a drop of green food coloring. Then we topped them with whipped cream and a handful of marshmallows that we picked out of Lucky Charms cereal. They melt fast so served immediately.

4. Lucky Charms treats. If you've ever made regular rice krispie treats, these are exactly the same, but with Lucky Charms. They take hardly any time at all to make. Cover them with some extra sprinkles and marshmallows and you have a "magically delicious" treat to share.

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups cereal
-In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
  • -Add cereal. Stir until well coated.
-Press into 13 x 9 pan coated with cooking spray. Let cool and then cut.
