ICE CREAM PARTY WITH CRICUT

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!! Who doesn't love an ice cream party? Living in Florida, we've been to a lot of these over the years, and they never get old. I especially love ice cream parties with a vintage charm. For this ice cream party, I tried to give it a vintage feel with a modern twist. I designed it for a school party because this is a great evergreen theme, no matter the time of year.

As with, literally, almost every party I ever do, I used my Cricut machine to create some custom elements for this ice cream party. Since I partnered with Cricut on this party, they sent me a new upgraded Cricut Explore Air™ 2 as opposed to my older version and it's amazing! It's faster, prettier, and has bluetooth, making it even easier than before. For those of you that aren't familiar, it's a cutter that cuts all sorts of materials in whatever designs you choose, to create so many amazing things. I use it to make custom shirts, bags, little favor boxes, banners, monogram everything, you name it!

For this ice cream party in particular I used my Cricut to create vinyl sprinkles for the balloons {just like I did here too} the ice cream banner, and the dry erase label on the yellow bucket {which would be so useful for teachers}. I used a sprinkle table cloth which I cut and taped to the back of the cubbies to add a pop of color to the cubbies that wouldn't be used. We had individual ice creams in the bucket with ice, toppings, sprinkles, waters, and cute little party hats for each student.

I used cubbies instead of a table because it seemed more practical for a class party and kept everything organized. I painted the frame of a letter board to match the ice cream party and used a clipboard for part of the decor also, both things easily found in a classroom. The honeycombs are a colorful and inexpensive space filler. I designed, printed, and cut labels for all the toppings to keep everything in the same color palette. There's nothing worse than a product label that doesn't match!

The Cricut allows you to add a unique, custom element to any party, which is why I use it for almost all of my party designs. It would also be a great addition to any classroom, it's just so versatile.
