A coffee cart is a fun twist on a regular bar cart. It pairs so perfectly for the Holidays. I especially
love it for a daytime gathering or maybe a gathering of people that don’t usually drink alcohol. I
have a great group of “mom friends” that got together for this party and these car cart ideas were perfect for them.
And what pairs well with coffee? Coffee cake of course! The cinnamon always reminds me of
Christmas too so it’s a perfect match. A great way to get into the Christmas spirit.

CHRISTMAS COFFEE CART IDEAS
The new Starbucks® Holiday coffees from Walmart are SO good, they were a huge hit as part of my coffee cart ideas with my guests. I picked up some Starbucks® Peppermint Mocha Ground Coffee and Peppermint Mocha Caffè Latte K-Cups®. I served the coffee in clear coffee mugs on my bar cart alongside K-Cups® for anyone that wanted seconds or to snag a few to bring home.
Also on the coffee cart, I placed some fun holiday mix ins that guests could add like cookie straws and candy canes in addition to the usual white sugar that I also picked up while I was at Walmart. It made for a really festive display. I had some plates and napkins readily available for that delicious coffee cake (recipe below!). The “baby it’s cold outside” sign couldn’t have been more fitting for warm coffee.
COFFEE CART IDEAS & RECIPES
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 cup flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 1½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- ½ cup melted butter
In a large mixing bowl, combine oil, eggs, vanilla, and milk
In a separate bowl, blend together sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt
Slowly mix the ingredients from both bowls together
Pour half the batter into a 9x13 pan
In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon
Sprinkle half of cinnamon and brown sugar mix on top of batter.
Top with remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon and brown sugar mix on top
Drizzle with melted butter
Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes
All you’ll need is various colors of Oil-Based Paint Pens and the mugs of course!
Allow guests to decorate however they’d like using the paint pens removing any mistakes with rubbing alcohol. When their design is complete, Allow the glasses to dry for at least 20 minutes then place in the oven. Heat the oven to 350 degrees (after the glasses are put in so it warms them up slowly!) Leave them in for 20 minutes and then turn off the oven leaving the glasses inside until they cool. Easy right? Remember decorated mugs are hand wash only.
Purchase three (3) qualifying Starbucks®packaged coffee (10-20oz.), Starbucks® K-Cup® packs (9-32ct.), VIA® Instant (5-8ct.), Starbucks® Syrups (12.17oz.), or Starbucks® Cookie Straw packs (9.17oz.) products in a single transaction at Walmart stores from 11/1/17 through 12/26/17 and receive 75 bonus stars when you upload your receipt at Starbucks-stars.com.
