Mother's Day Tea for Two

Mother's Day is such a special day, I didn't even really realize the true significance of it until I became a mom myself. This year is particularly special for me because by the time Mother's Day rolls around, I will have 2 babies to call my own. Lilah and I celebrated early this year with Tea for Two for just the two of us. It's our last few weeks together, just the two of us, so I'm spending as much time as I can with her before these days are behind us.

THE PERFECT MOTHER'S DAY TEA FOR TWO

I chose a rose gold and light pink color scheme and set the table for just us two. The pink chairs and plates are from Ikea. I use them more often than I even thought I would when I purchased them, they're just the perfect shade of pink. I picked up these pretty pink glasses from Home Goods and they fit right in. She also loves balloons so I made a balloon garland which we later disassembled to play with together. Read my tutorial on how to make your own balloon garland here. They're perfect for any party.

We ate donuts and cupcakes and drank pink lemonade for our Tea for Two. I picked up the rose gold plastic utensils from Target to tie everything together. I use these utensils a lot because although they are plastic (and super inexpensive), they are very high quality and look like metal. We got fresh flowers for decor, which we both love and a few mercury tea lights from Kate Aspen. The rose gold "Tea for Two" banner I made with my Cricut and taped to the wall.
