For the last 9 months, knowing I would soon be a very busy work-from-home mom of two, I've been working on small changes to make my day to day life easier. Some of these changes aren't what you would typically think. I've been making improvements on making my mornings easier and more efficient so that I feel better about the way I look, no matter how much time I have (or don't have). I started with better skincare and moved on to hair care and now I'm focusing on my teeth.
Just like a lot of people, I did have braces at one point but, being young and naive, I never wore my retainers. So naturally, my teeth shifted out of place. I've been thinking for a while now about getting straighter teeth teeth but didn't want to get through the lengthy process and high costs of the entire process. I have these two bottom teeth that are protruding just a little and a top tooth that is slightly shifted. They really aren't bad at all but who wouldn't love to have straighter teeth if the process was affordable and convenient?
THE AFFORDABLE WAY TO GET STRAIGHTER TEETH
I did a ton of research {like I usually do} and decided to go with Candid because their process is so simple, affordable, and can be done without leaving the house {major plus right now}. Going with clear aligners vs. actual braces again was the only option I was interested in. To start, they mail you an impression kit which has everything you need, including step by step detailed instructions to create your models to send in for your aligners. You can even do a video call with someone from Candid to assist you but the instructions were so detailed that I personally didn't even feel the need for additional assistance. I also had to take a few photos to send in and that was it. A couple weeks later I got an email with my 3D model showing how my teeth looked now and how they would slowly shift over the treatment period with my aligners. I approved and my aligners are on their way to me now.
The impression kit is only $95 and the cost of treatment to get straighter teeth is typically less than $2,000, wayyyyy less than orthodontists charge in my area. By the way, if their orthodontist determines that you aren't a great candidate for invisible aligners, they will refund you the cost of the kit so you've got nothing to lose. If you are skeptical, I'm happy to report that everything has been so professional and high quality. And their support team is more than helpful. They cut out the office visits and middlemen to streamline the entire process, that's why it's so much less expensive. I will post periodic updates as I continue the process. It should take me about 7 months to complete the entire treatment and get my straighter teeth. I can't wait!
