How to Have a Virtual Happy Hour

This post has been sponsored by Nonni’s. I received product and compensation, but all opinions are my own.

Even with lockdown measures slowly lifting, we still have big plans for no plans for the foreseeable future. We have started to get used to this new normal and are embracing it for what it is. With that being said, we really do miss our family and friends a whole lot. We make an effort to connect daily via text or phone and weekly via Zoom. After several weeks of quarantine, here are some tips I have learned to make the Zoom happy hour experience even more fun.

1. First and foremost, pour yourself a drink and grab your favorite snack. I love to have a glass of wine and a couple of Nonni’s Cioccolati Biscotti on our virtual happy hour calls. The Cioccolati flavor is the classic original biscotti dipped in gourmet bittersweet chocolate. Each biscotti only has 110 calories, and is delicious with only real ingredients like eggs, butter and sugar. It’s the perfect way to wind down after a long day at home with the kids.
2. Use your laptop or iPad instead of your phone – it makes the whole experience wayyyy better.

3. Find a fun Zoom backdrop to imagine you’re somewhere besides your house. It’s a great conversation starter too.

4. Designate a “host” {usually the person who invites everyone} and that person can lead the opening conversations to avoid everyone talking over each other. Try to keep the guest list under 10 people, above that, things can get a little tricky.

5. Our favorite Zoom happy hour activities are games that we can all play together. You can find so many different ones if you Google it.

6, Make it a weekly thing! We have a standing invitation now and anyone that can make it, pops in! I stocked up on my Nonni’s Biscotti and wine and am ready to party {virtually} for weeks to come.

As difficult as this time can sometimes be, how lucky are we to be living in a time where we can still party virtually, while eating delicious biscotti? ;-)
