I feel like a room design is never completely done. But after months of staring at this space and moving things around, I think it's safe to say, Lilah's girl toddler room is done...for now. Lilah is 3 and has slept in a "big girl bed" for a while now, but it was her crib converted to a bed. Once I found out I was pregnant we knew we needed to move the crib into the baby's room and get Lilah a bigger bed. I have always had a love for the classic Jenny Lind style {did you see the gold Jenny Lind high chair I used at Lilah's first birthday, here?} so when I saw this bed, I knew it was perfect for her Big Girl toddler room. I wanted a daybed because she spends a lot of time in her room playing and I wanted her to have the extra space. Right now, we don't really have a playroom so this is where is plays and a daybed turned out to be the perfect fit for us.
She has a really big closet so I opted for a somewhat smaller dresser, saving even more room and moving her old one into the baby's room because it matches the crib. This white table and chairs that you've seen in a lot of my posts, I was now finally able to fit in her room. She loves having that table in there, she hosts daily tea parties with her stuffed animals and her chandelier {under $200!} floats perfectly centered above it. Her room doesn't have a defined theme because toddlers seem to change their minds at the drop of a hat but it does have a whimsical, floral thing going on that we are trying to stick with. There's a few princess touches because that's what she's really into lately but it's nothing over the top. I had a throw pillow made out of this princess pillowcase at my local alterations shop, it sits on her bed and she loves to look at it. I'm a strong believer in solid white sheets so this is the perfect compromise.
You can also see that the Toddler Art Wall I posted about before is still going strong! She uses it all the time. As for those color coded books, I try to keep them in order but I promise they don't always look this organized. I love the shade of blush pink on her walls and brightness in this room.
